Time to Rock & Roll

Well, looks like this baby might have a June birthday after all! Gina began contracting pretty regularly all morning and into the afternoon, so at the doctor's advice we came to the hospital about 3pm. After running some tests, they decided to induce even though she wasn't dilated any further. She's been rolling with the medically-induced contractions like a champ. As a reward, she got some good drugs to help her tuckered body rest. Isn't she cute? Not for long I'm afraid :)


By tomorrow (we hope) it'll all be worth it and we'll be holding baby Sims in our arms. I'm off to catch some elusive zzzz's.

Hurry Up and Wait!

So here we are, watching Food Network, twiddling our thumbs, and waiting not so patiently for baby Sims to make his or her grand appearance into the world. My sister, Kristen said it best when she asked if I felt like a watched pot. That's exactly what it's like. I mistakenly believed I would deliver early. Clearly that was the wrong way to anticipate this time. It's now June 25th, a day after the due date, and I feel like we've been waiting FOREVER! Mom came last Wednesday night and we have organized and decorated the baby's room and closet, we have walked and walked in more malls than I've been to in the 2 years we've been in Atlanta, and now we've run out of things to do. She's knitting and I'm watching Food Network and Greg's setting up the blog and I'm a big fat watched pot waiting to boil....and not doing it. Bummer. Come on, Flipper! Get out here!
